Mixed media on canvas
36" x 36"
Nothing here stays still for long. A soft yellow sun hangs at the left edge while a long column of cobalt drifts down through the center, carrying within it a faint shape like a seed or a leaf floating on the current. To the right, clouds of blush and hot pink billow beside a darkening sky of slate, dusted with fine golden spray that falls like pollen. Turquoise haze fills the spaces between, and tiny dots of color scatter across the surface like stars or drops of rain. Mandie sprayed and layered in loose, open movements, allowing each veil of color to blur into the next. The painting feels like floating, unhurried and unanchored, trusting the current to carry you somewhere good.
Above a sofa or a long upholstered bench, this canvas brings gentle movement to a living room. Its cobalt and pink pair beautifully with a blush velvet chair, a navy rug and pale wood, while a large window nearby will make its glossy surface come alive.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
