After the Festival
Mixed media on panel
48" x 48"
The music has stopped, but the color is still glowing everywhere. Teal, tangerine, raspberry and violet drip from the top in long, glossy ribbons over a sunny yellow and lavender sky, while below, sprayed clouds of turquoise, lime, cobalt and gold drift together like lanterns and streamers left floating in the air. Sparkling flecks catch the light near the center, and textured stamps of green and blue sit raised on the surface like confetti. Mandie layered sprays, pours and pressed marks freely, letting them mingle and blur. It holds the sweet, slightly wistful glow of a wonderful night just ending, with the joy still in the room.
Ideal for a lively home, this generous square canvas can carry a wall of its own in a family room or open kitchen. Lavender and tangerine textiles, a large wooden dining table and good company will keep its festive afterglow going long after the party.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
