All My Colors
Mixed media on panel
20" x 20"
Every color shows up, stacked in generous horizontal bands across a misted white ground. Red melts into orange at the top, followed by a wide stripe of sunlit yellow, then green, then a cool line of turquoise. Below, things begin to stir: blues swirl into a deep, glittering navy, teal lacing spreads in delicate cells and waves, and everything comes to rest in a solid floor of violet. The upper bands are calm and smooth while the lower ones churn with movement and shimmer. Mandie poured the colors in layers and let them flow into one another where they wished, and the most beautiful moments came by accident. It feels open hearted, a full and honest portrait of a life.
Cheerful from every angle, this canvas feels right in a kitchen, a playroom or a bright family room where life happens. Its bands of color sing against white walls or pale gray, and pair easily with light wood, painted furniture and a bowl of fresh fruit on the table.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
