All of Me
Mixed media on panel
12" x 14"
Every feeling has a place on this small panel. A warm corner of red and orange glows at the upper left, while sunny yellow pours flow down into pools of green and deep violet blue. In the center, the surface turns rugged: olive cells, lacy gray-blue crusts and bright magenta textures flecked with black, crumbling and blooming like lichen on stone. Tiny drops and specks scatter across it all. Mandie built the layers slowly, letting each pour react with the one beneath until unexpected textures rose to the surface. It holds brightness and roughness side by side, honest and whole, the way a full life looks up close.
Small but full of feeling, All of Me fits a desk, a bookshelf, or a gallery wall of personal favorites. Rich jewel tones, a colorful throw, and a few treasured mementos nearby echo its many moods in one compact space.

Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
