Alone, but Not Lonely
Mixed media on canvas
10" x 10"
On a field of clean, quiet white, a single pool of color sits by itself. It is deep cobalt for the most part, with a fringe of emerald green blooming along its right edge and wisps of darker teal drifting through like currents beneath the surface. A few tiny droplets have escaped and rest nearby, scattered like small companions. The shape is soft and irregular, its edges set where the poured paint chose to stop. Mandie let a single pour find its own form and then simply left it alone, trusting the empty space. There is no loneliness in it, only a calm self-possession, the peace of being whole in your own company.
For anyone who treasures a quiet hour, this would be a lovely presence in a reading nook, a meditation corner or a minimalist bedroom. Its cobalt and emerald stand out crisply on pale walls, with a simple oak shelf and a single ceramic vase nearby.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
