Anger, Released
Mixed media on panel
24" x 24"
Bare wood shows through the whole panel, its grain warm and honest, and across it the paint has been flung with real force. Scarlet and tangerine sweep in from the left in wide, splashing arcs, while dark burgundy trails whip across the top edge. On the right, a column of teal blue stands firm, deepening to near black at its base. Droplets and splatters scatter everywhere, each one a record of a single quick motion. Mandie threw and poured with abandon, letting the raw ground stay visible so nothing felt hidden. There is release in every mark, and when you step back the painting feels surprisingly calm, like the clear air that comes after a storm.
Picture it in a loft, a modern living room or a creative workspace with a bit of edge. The raw wood grain feels natural beside walnut, concrete and black steel, and a clean pale or deep charcoal wall lets its flung scarlet and tangerine take center stage.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
