Blue Ache
Mixed media on panel
20" x 16"
Deep, inky blue gathers on the left like the heaviest part of the night. Across it, a soft diagonal band of lilac and blush sweeps upward, carrying a faint white trail like a comet or a line of distant stars. To the right, a pale periwinkle cloud spreads out, smooth and gentle, while at the bottom left a small emerald shape stands alone, finely textured and outlined in pale mint, with a thin tail curling behind it. Mandie layered spray and pours in soft veils, leaving that bright green form to arrive almost by chance. The blues carry a sweet sadness, but the small green presence feels like a quiet promise that something is still growing.
For a bedroom that leans moody and restful, this piece is an ideal companion. Its inky blue and lilac look stunning against a navy or slate wall, or add welcome depth to a pale room. Velvet, smoked glass and soft lamplight complete its intimate, evening mood.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
