Brimming
Mixed media on panel
48" x 24"
$4,700 USD
A great pool of sunlit yellow spills across the panel, wide at the top and narrowing below, its edges cradled by a dark teal rim that gives it the look of a lake seen from the air. Within the yellow, soft ripples and faint green shadows shift and drift, the paint still bearing the memory of how it flowed. All around, a pale gray ground is streaked with drips of cobalt, violet, magenta and sky blue falling from the top edge. Mandie poured the yellow and tilted the panel, letting it spread until it found its own shoreline. The work glows with generosity, a heart so full it overflows.
Morning light gives its pool of yellow a warm, watery shimmer. Hang it in a long hallway, a dining room or a kitchen with high ceilings, where deep teal cabinetry, honey oak floors and brass fixtures repeat its glowing rim.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
