Cantilena IV
Mixed media and resin on panel
8" x 8"
Blush pink and warm marigold share the top edge like two friends side by side, each letting a fringe of drips fall over a burnished gold ground. The pink runs in delicate lines that end in tiny glossy drops, while the marigold descends in a row of shorter, rounded fingers and one long line that reaches nearly to the base. The gold beneath carries soft brushwork, giving the background a gentle shimmer. A clear resin layer adds a glassy glow throughout. Mandie poured lightly and allowed the colors to settle naturally, and the piece radiates a sweet, contented warmth.
Pink and gold accents, a vintage frame nearby and warm wood bring out the charm of its blush and marigold drips. It suits a nursery, a guest room or a small bedroom wall, and alongside its Cantilena siblings it completes a lovely set.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
