Carefree
Mixed media on panel
8" x 8"
Two colors tumble down side by side without a care in the world: a chalky, soft white on the left and a glowing neon orange on the right. Their thick drips fall in loose, uneven fingers, some ending in plump, rounded drops, over a sprayed ground of lime, mustard and tangerine that glows like late afternoon. The white has a slightly cracked, matte texture, while the orange is smooth and vivid. Mandie poured both colors and simply let them run, enjoying how freely they moved. Light, playful and bright, the piece feels like kicking off your shoes on the first warm day of summer.
Light and fun, it is a perfect addition to a gallery wall, a dorm room or a cheerful bathroom shelf. Orange and lime accents, a simple ceramic dish and a playful print nearby let its loose drips feel easy and fresh.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
