Carry Me III
Mixed media on canvas
48" x 30"
Cobalt waves border a tilted band of color like the edges of a stream seen from above. Inside them, turquoise, sunny yellow and soft orange run in long parallel lines toward a single red channel at the center, which swells and narrows as it travels. At either end, the pours gather into small tangles of aqua, lime and red, settling against the wood-toned corners of the ground. The deep blue carries a fine, sandy grain along its edge, while the brighter colors stay glossy and smooth. Mandie poured with a steady hand and let gravity shape every curve. It feels reassuring and buoyant, a current strong enough to bear you along.
Breezy and bright, Carry Me III gives an entry, an office, or a living room a refreshing focal point. Cobalt cushions, pale stone, and green plants suit its streamlike colors, and alongside Carry Me I and II it forms a lively trio.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
