Crescendo
Mixed media on panel
36" x 36"
The energy builds and builds until it fills every inch. A sweep of raspberry red races across the upper third, scribbled in quick, looping lines, while yellow threads circle and zigzag below it like a melody climbing higher. Beneath it all, a cascade of turquoise, sky blue, aqua and amber pours toward the bottom edge in hundreds of fine, glossy drips. A bright yellow frame wraps the edges like sunlight around a window. Mandie layered line over line, drizzling and pouring in fast succession, letting the colors collide and run together on their way down. The painting rises like a swell of music, joyful, bold and impossible to ignore.
Who says a hallway can't be exciting? This energetic canvas turns a long corridor or a landing into a destination, and equally brightens a game room or open kitchen. Simple oak, matte black hardware and a pop of raspberry somewhere nearby keep it company.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
