Daydream
Mixed media on panel
30" x 22"
Lines of color drift down the panel the way thoughts wander on a slow afternoon. Spring green frames each side, then navy and royal blue, then red and tangerine, until two ribbons of sunny yellow and orange meet softly near the center. Each stream swells, narrows and curls at the end like a lazy signature. Faint bands of pale blue mist run behind them on a white ground, as if light were coming through blinds. The surface is smooth and generous, pooled thick enough to catch small ridges and bubbles. Mandie poured freely and let the paint wander, and the gentle symmetry that emerged was a happy accident. The mood is easy, warm and pleasantly far away.
Made for slow afternoons, this canvas belongs in a reading corner or a bedroom where time feels unhurried. Pair it with a deep armchair in olive velvet, a stack of novels and a brass floor lamp, and let its drifting lines set the pace of the room.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
