Hundreds of fine, combed lines run from top to bottom like the strings of an instrument fading into silence. Sky blue and cornflower dominate, but within them are bands of berry red, rose and orange on the left, and threads of lime, mint and soft white near the center, with a warm amber glow along the right edge. The paint was dragged in heavy, ridged strokes so the surface ripples like corduroy and catches every shift of light. Mandie pulled each layer down by hand, letting the colors beneath peek through and blend at their edges. The effect is gentle and meditative, energy slowly softening into rest.
Soft and finely textured, its combed blue lines suit a calm living room, a music room or a light-filled office. Cornflower and berry tones look lovely with a navy sofa, a rose throw and a stack of art books on a low walnut table.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
