Mixed media on canvas
14" x 11"
Two tides of color lean toward each other across bare white canvas. Each begins in a burst of electric lime at the top, then deepens through emerald and turquoise into cobalt and dark sea blue as it flows downward. The right-hand form is rippled in soft horizontal waves, like sand ribbed by retreating water, and thin drips slip sideways off its edge as if pulled by an unseen current. Between the two, a narrow channel of white keeps them just apart. Tilting the canvas back and forth, Mandie let the color travel and draw back like water at the tide line. It holds the rhythm of the shore, going and returning, and the trust that what recedes will come again.
Fresh and airy, it would be lovely in a bathroom, a bedroom or a beach house hallway. The lime and cobalt look vivid on white walls, and they pair beautifully with pale oak, blue glass and the clean lines of coastal furniture.

Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
