Euphoria

Joy rarely arrives politely, and here it comes in a rush. Thick strokes of teal, saffron, crimson and violet surge across the panel like a wave lifting toward the light, each one swept with a loaded brush so the colors fold into one another at the edges. Above the swell, a drift of tiny white beads glitters like sea foam or the first snow of the year, catching every shift of light. Mandie pushed the paint with quick, generous gestures and let the textures settle where they wished, delighted by what the surface kept. The whole piece feels breathless and happy, a heart that cannot stay still.
Need a burst of energy on a small scale? This little wave of color brightens a home office, a shelf by the front door, or a gallery wall. Jewel toned ceramics and a velvet chair nearby keep its exuberant mood going all day long.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
