Mixed media on panel
11" x 14"
Every color seems to have arrived at once and decided to stay. A dense, swirling mass of cobalt, scarlet, saffron, white and coral fills the panel, its marbled cells and ribbons twisting like a map of some brilliant, crowded city. Rivers of pale blue thread through the middle, and pockets of pink, green and gold appear wherever you look. Around the edges, the dark slate ground holds it all together, while bright neon yellow arcs swing off the left side like a laugh that could not be contained. Mandie poured layer upon layer and let them merge, crack and bloom into intricate patterns. The result is exuberant, overflowing and utterly alive.
Maximalists, this one is for you. Let it hold court in a colorful living room, a creative studio or a gallery wall of bold finds. The cobalt, scarlet and saffron love pattern, so pair it with kilim rugs, mixed textiles and eclectic vintage pieces.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
