Faded Love
Mixed media on canvas
40" x 30"
Raspberry and rose bleed downward across a softly woven ground, dragged in long vertical strokes that thin and blur as they fall. In the center, the color parts to leave a pale, rounded opening, almost like a heart or a figure in silhouette, its edges soft and tender as a memory. Everywhere the texture of the weave shows through, giving the pink a dusty, well loved quality, like a favorite garment washed many times. Mandie let the pigment soak and fade where it wanted, never forcing a sharp line. The painting carries a sweet ache: love that has softened with time, yet never truly disappears.
Tender and romantic, its raspberry and rose tones bring softness to a primary bedroom or a dressing room. Pair it with blush velvet, pale wood and a woven rug, or hang it above a vintage dresser where a few framed photographs can keep it company.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
