Faint Hope
Mixed media on panel
24" x 48"
Long and luminous, the panel moves like a sunrise seen through mist. On the left, sea green and moss fade into a soft band of cream and buttery yellow at the center, then warm gradually into lilac, violet and a burst of rose and crimson before cooling to teal and blue on the right. Across it all, the surface has been dragged and scraped in sweeping gestures, with splashes of gold and fine crimson drips falling down through the color. Mandie layered spray, poured accents and scraping marks, letting the color glow through each veil. The light is gentle and uncertain, yet it is unmistakably there, a quiet hope that keeps growing.
Long and horizontal, it is a natural fit above a sofa, a bed, or a low console, where its slow sunrise can stretch across the room. Soft sage walls, linen upholstery, and pale oak keep everything hushed and luminous, like a morning that takes its time.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
