Festive
Mixed media on panel
20" x 10"
Ribbons, garlands and streamers, all tumbling down at once. Vertical rivers of teal, cobalt, indigo, scarlet, tangerine, golden yellow and soft cream crowd the panel from edge to edge, their borders feathered with fine lacing where one color reaches into the next. Red frays into delicate fringes, orange is marbled with gold, and teal swells into rounded shapes along the right side like balloons drifting loose. Tiny drops and splashes speckle the white margins. Mandie poured the colors side by side and lifted the panel, letting them run and interweave as they pleased. It brims with celebration, warm and generous, like a room full of people you love on a happy night.
Hang it by the dining room door or along a hallway leading to where friends gather. Its cascade of teal, scarlet and gold keeps any season feeling festive, and pairs beautifully with brass candlesticks, glassware and jewel toned textiles.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
