Fuchsia Dream
Mixed media on canvas
18" x 24"
Fuchsia sweeps across the canvas in long, layered strokes, dense and rich on the left, then thinning and softening as it travels right until it fades into the palest blush. The paint was dragged and pulled through a thick white ground, leaving raised ridges, fine ripples and streaks where pink and white swirl together like silk in motion. Small loose threads of magenta curl off the edges, wandering on their own. The texture begs to be seen up close, every line catching light in a slightly different way. Mandie let the color flow until it chose to stop, and that softening is the heart of the piece. It feels romantic and dreamy, a memory fading slowly, sweetly, into morning.
Romantic and quietly bold, it brings a rosy glow to a bedroom or dressing room. Pair it with blush or warm cream walls, velvet in a deeper berry tone and a few brass accents, or let it surprise in a powder room, where its color feels like a lovely secret.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
