Gentle Days V
Mixed media on panel
24" x 6"
A clear white day, and four colors walking through it in their own time. On the left, black marks break into short dashes and dots like footsteps on fresh snow. Beside them a bright lime line runs long and sure, while golden yellow appears and disappears in neat little segments. To the right, red and coral gather into fuller shapes, spilling sideways in soft blooms before falling to the bottom edge. Every line sits raised and glossy above the white, catching the light along its edges. Mandie poured with an open hand and let each color find its own rhythm, and the painting moves with the gentle, cheerful tempo of an ordinary good day.
Crisp and graphic, this panel brings a fresh rhythm to a modern kitchen, a home office or a minimalist hallway. The black, lime and gold look sharp with clean surfaces, matte black fixtures and light oak, and fit neatly into a series grouping.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
