Mixed media on panel
30" x 24" x 2.5"
Laughter seems to bubble up from every corner. Soft, sprayed orbs of turquoise, emerald, scarlet and sunflower glow in the background like balloons drifting at a party, while tall ribbons of cobalt, magenta, tangerine, aqua and silver pour down the panel in front of them. At the center, a broad stroke of pale lemon cream rises like a raised hand, glad and unguarded. The poured lines sit thick and glossy, swelling and narrowing as they travel, and the misted circles beneath give the whole surface a dreamy, weightless depth. Mandie layered spray and pour without a plan, letting each color find its place, and the result is pure, bright delight that refuses to sit still.
Joyful by nature, this canvas wants to be where people gather. Picture it in a breakfast nook, a playroom, or above a sideboard in a lively kitchen. Bright ceramics, a bowl of citrus and painted wooden chairs carry its party palette through the room, while plain plaster keeps it fresh.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
