Golden Silence
Mixed media
10" x 8"
One golden disk rests at the center of a soft green field, glowing warmly as if lit from behind. Its surface is not flat but gently uneven, poured paint that spread outward and dried into faint rings, with traces of cool blue drifting through the amber like reflections on still water. A thin shadow edges its lower rim, lifting the circle from the ground. Around it, a halo of yellow mist fades into sage and deep green, and the fine weave of the support shows through like linen. Mandie poured the circle and simply let it settle, giving the paint time to find its own shape. There is no hurry here, only a deep, golden quiet that asks nothing at all.
Simple and serene, Golden Silence brings a moment of stillness to a desk, a bedside table, or a quiet corner of the bath. A sage or moss green setting, a small brass object, and a single stem in a bud vase complete the calm.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
