Good Days
Mixed media on panel
12" x 12"
Bright stripes of color line up across the panel like a cheerful row of flags. Indigo crowns the top, followed by red, orange and a yellow ribbon that ends in a small fiery knot of red and orange. In the middle, a generous band of sky blue rolls and ripples across, edged in green. Then the order repeats, softer: yellow, orange, red and indigo again near the bottom. Little dots of green, red and blue fly off the ends as though the lines could barely be held still. Mandie poured each color in one easy motion and let it spread, bead and drip where it wanted. The panel brims with gladness, light and simple and full of thanks.
Like a row of flags at a summer fair, it brightens a kitchen, a mudroom or a child's bedroom. Grouped with Celebrate or Gift, it creates a cheerful series along a hallway, and it pairs easily with crisp cotton, painted furniture and blue and white stripes.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
