Hope, Rising
Mixed media on panel
24" x 18"
Splashes of bright yellow fly outward across a smoky gray ground, radiating from the center like sunlight breaking through cloud. Some land as long streaks, some as playful drops and curls, and around them a trail of teal dots tumbles down the left side like scattered petals. Up top, a cobalt shape glows with a delicate, cellular texture, and a pale green form hovers translucent behind the splashes. At the bottom right, a small flick of red adds a heartbeat of warmth. Mandie flung, poured and sprayed the color with quick, lively gestures, welcoming each unexpected splash. The painting feels like a hopeful moment breaking free, full of light and lift.
Morning people will love it in a kitchen or breakfast room, where its bursts of yellow meet the first light of the day. Soft gray walls, white oak, and a few cheerful ceramics let it shine, like sunshine breaking through on a cloudy morning.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
