Mixed media on panel
36" x 24"
A magnificent plume sweeps across the panel from bottom left to top right, drawn in a tangle of flung lines: deep green and black for its spine and edges, and a blaze of orange, gold, red and cream for its feathering. The paint has been dripped and thrown in long, looping strands that cross and spark, so the whole form seems to flutter. Behind it, a sky of blue and navy opens, touched with pink, while a copper burst glows in the upper corner like a far-off sun. Mandie flung and poured the paint with real abandon, letting each strand land where it would. The painting stands tall and unafraid, bright with the spirit of something wild and untamed.
Above a console in the entry or over a sideboard in the dining room, this sweeping plume makes a confident first impression. Deep green walls, dark leather, and touches of brass suit its bold energy, while a tall plant nearby repeats its upward lift.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
