Quiet Delta
Mixed media on panel
24" x 12"
Slender lines of color run side by side down the panel and slowly fan out, the way a river spreads into many quiet channels before it reaches the sea. Ink black and deep navy hold the outer edges, a dark forest green settles at the lower right, and through the middle, threads of red, orange and golden yellow fall in long, unhurried strokes, some breaking into dotted trails. A soft blush of mauve rests near the top, and amber pools at the bottom like late sun on water. Mandie poured each line and let it slip and pause on its own, never forcing a path. It feels peaceful and patient, a gentle place to rest the eyes and the mind.
Beside a bed, in an entry or along a hallway, this serene vertical piece adds a graceful pause. Ink black and soft river tones pair beautifully with pale oak, stone, black metal and a single trailing plant on a nearby shelf.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
