Quiet Grace
Mixed media on panel
24" x 24"
Hundreds of fine dark lines stream down a soft ivory ground, so many and so close that they seem to shimmer like a beaded curtain stirred by a breeze. At the very top, a band of color gathers in tiny bursts of navy, cherry, green and marigold, the source of every thread below. In the center floats a glossy white crossing of two strokes, its middle touched with a silvery, pearlescent texture that catches the light. Mandie poured the color and tilted the panel again and again, letting each line find its own length. The painting feels hushed and luminous, a moment of peace in the steady rhythm of falling rain.
Minimalists will appreciate how Quiet Grace settles into a bedroom, a dining room, or a pared back entry. Ivory walls, black accents, and a simple oak bench let its shimmering lines take center stage, moving gently as daylight shifts across the room.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
