Reflection
Mixed media on canvas
36" x 24"
Like a window at dusk that shows both the room inside and the world beyond, this canvas holds two views at once. Across the upper half, glassy layers of silver and pale aqua shimmer in vertical streaks, overlapping like sheets of ice or crinkled plastic, with fine scratched lines catching the light. Below, the surface softens into a misty gray where dark, blurred shapes drift and dissolve like stones seen through water. Hints of green and lavender glint from deep within. Mandie layered translucent material over soft spray, never knowing quite how the light would move through it. The result is contemplative and beautifully uncertain, a gentle invitation to look inward.
Like a window of its own, this canvas suits rooms that blend inside and out: a sunroom, a bathroom with a view, or a modern study. Pale aqua tile, smoked glass and brushed silver hardware complement its shimmering layers, especially in clear north light.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
