Ripples of Love
Mixed media on panel
20" x 20"
Ring after ring opens outward from a small violet heart, as if a single drop had touched still water and the whole world answered. Blue and green circle the center, then broad bands of lemon and gold, then a warm orange rim, and finally a halo of red feathered into fine bristling rays against a dusky teal sky. The paint is laid thick and glossy, each ring raised like a ridge you could trace with a fingertip, while soft spray drifts around the edges in a misty glow. Mandie built the circles by hand and then let the spray decide how far the light would travel. The result radiates warmth, a love that keeps widening long after the first touch.
Hanging it near a bed or a favorite reading chair means its rings can work their calm every day. Soft blue or sage walls, natural fibers, and a ceramic lamp suit its gentle rhythm, and the effect is a room that seems to breathe more slowly.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
