Rising Hope
Mixed media on panel
24" x 24"
A long, feathered form lifts from the lower left toward the upper right, its body marbled in powder blue, slate and a blush of rose, its top edge combed into fine vertical strands that seem to stretch for the sky. Along its lower side, thin golden lines trail away like the wake of something moving fast. Behind it, a broad band of lemon and chartreuse sweeps across a creamy ground, soft and sprayed, as if sunlight were spilling in sideways. Mandie dragged the poured paint in one confident pass and let the edges break into strands. It rises with the gentle insistence of a new morning, unstoppable and bright.
Morning light suits Rising Hope beautifully, so consider a bedroom, a home office, or an east facing landing. Powder blue, blush, and slate tones in cushions or ceramics, with pale oak nearby, echo its feathered form as it lifts.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
