Mixed media and resin on panel
8" x 8"
Rich color glows inside this little square like light through a church window. Bands of garnet red, sunflower yellow, forest green and deep plum stand side by side, each built from crushed, glassy fragments that catch and scatter the light. Clear resin pools over the top, its rippled surface holding every chip in place like a gem under water. A soft border of turquoise frames it all, cool and calm against the warm jewels within. Mandie let the fragments fall where they wished before sealing them, so every glint is a small, happy accident. Intimate and luminous, it feels like a private place of rest and refuge.
Rich and glowing like stained glass, it adds warmth to a bookshelf, a mantel or a small wall in a study. Garnet and forest green accents, a brass candlestick and dark wood bring out its jewel tones, especially in soft lamplight.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
