Treasured
Mixed media
8" x 8"
Tiny plastic beads in every color tumble across this small framed square like confetti after a celebration: cherry, tangerine, cobalt, violet, emerald, black and white, gathered in a joyful cluster at the top and spilling down in little trails. Beneath them, a grid of sunny yellow circles glows through clear, glossy resin like rows of golden coins or buttons in a jar. A frame of pale natural wood holds it all close. Mandie scattered the beads freely and poured the resin over them, letting the arrangement settle on its own. Here are a handful of happy memories, small, bright and precious, kept safe forever.
A small jewel of a piece, Treasured is lovely on a dresser, a bedside table, or a bookshelf among keepsakes. Its confetti of beads makes it a natural gift, and it pairs wonderfully with colorful glass, a ceramic dish, and warm lamplight.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
