Where We Meet
Mixed media on panel
24" x 6"
Two forces lean toward each other across a warm cream field. From the left, a bold red rolls inward in rounded waves; from the right, a deep ultramarine pushes back, splashing into fingers and droplets at its edges. Where they come close, small bright touches of yellow and a cool pool of mint gather in the gap, as though something tender lives in the space between them. A few red specks float in the open middle like words not yet spoken. Mandie poured both colors and tilted the panel until they reached for one another, never fully merging. The painting feels like a conversation, honest and warm, two different hearts finding common ground.
A lovely gift for a couple, it suits a bedroom, a shared study or the narrow wall beside a front door. The red and ultramarine look striking with warm cream walls, navy textiles and brass, celebrating the place where two lives meet.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
