Wild and Free
Mixed media on panel
30" x 22"
Eleven streams of color tumble from the top edge as though they had been let off a leash. Orange, lemon and lime run down the outer edges, deep navy twists like a river finding its own route, and ribbons of red and bubblegum pink weave through the center, pooling and splitting as they go. Behind them, a misty gray and white ground drifts like weather. The paint is thick and glossy, beaded with small drops and splashes where the flow broke loose. Mandie poured each line and tilted the panel, letting gravity decide the bends and turns, and no two streams behave alike. It feels untamed and joyful, a celebration of going exactly where the heart wants.
In a family room or a creative studio, its tumbling streams of color bring instant energy. Let it lead a palette of navy cushions, a citrus-toned rug and painted shelving, or hang it over a low credenza where kids and guests can enjoy its playful spirit.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
