Wild Hope
Mixed media on panel
36" x 36"
Color tumbles across the panel with joyful abandon. A blush of red glows at the center, surrounded by clouds of peach, gold, lime and magenta, all softened by a deep teal frame. A slender white stroke swoops across the upper left like a comet, while a spray of teal drips and splatters flies through the upper right. In the lower corner, a pale pour holds a bright blue and yellow heart, and golden droplets scatter along the bottom edge like sparks. Mandie threw, poured and sprayed with complete freedom, inviting every accident to join the composition. It is buoyant and untamed, a hope that refuses to sit quietly.
Big, joyful, and generous, Wild Hope is a centerpiece for a living room or an open plan kitchen and dining space. Peach and teal cushions, a vivid rug, and plenty of plants extend its exuberant palette across the room.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
