Abundance
Mixed media on panel
12" x 12"
Color tumbles across a clear sky blue ground as though someone had emptied a basket of fruit and flowers all at once. A deep cobalt pool rests inside a ring of lime, a lemon yellow disc glows on the right, and below, a bright green circle cradles a splash of cherry red and a pour of royal blue. At the center, a patch of terracotta and white is cracked like sun-baked earth, its surface powdery and fine, while a creamy white pour spills in from the top. Tiny drops of navy and red scatter between them. Mandie was generous with every color, setting them side by side and allowing them to crowd, touch and overflow. The whole painting brims with gratitude and good things shared.
Sunlight and this cheerful canvas make wonderful partners, so try it on a kitchen shelf or in a bright breakfast nook. Set near a bowl of lemons, fresh flowers and colorful ceramics, it adds an easy burst of abundance to everyday life.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
