All at Once
Mixed media on panel
36" x 36"
Color arrives from every direction in a joyful downpour. Crimson, lemon, sky blue, cobalt, emerald and tangerine rain from the top in countless glossy drips, crowding and overlapping like a cheering crowd. Behind them, softer bands of blush, mint and lavender glow through, while a pale white strip near the top catches the light like a horizon. The surface is rich and layered, with thick drips that have dried in raised beads and fine runs that slip between them. Mandie poured color after color with fearless energy, letting each layer fall over the last and mix where it wished. It is pure exuberance, the feeling of every good thing happening together.
A natural centerpiece for a family room or an open kitchen, it fills a large wall with color and good cheer. Keep the surroundings simple, with clean white walls, oak floors and a few bright pillows, and let the painting set the tone for every gathering.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
