Alone With the Moon
Mixed media on panel
20" x 16"
One golden moon hangs alone in a hazy olive night. Its surface is covered in a delicate web of cells, like honeycomb or the texture of a citrus peel, and a soft shadow sweeps across its face as if it were turning slowly toward you. Far above, a faint glow hovers in the corner, a distant companion that never quite arrives. Thin streaks of gold fly across the darkness like falling stars. Mandie poured the moon and let it open into its intricate pattern on its own, then softened the sky around it with misty spray. There is solitude here, but it is gentle, the kind that invites reflection and finds comfort in the quiet.
Quiet and contemplative, it suits a bedroom, a study or a reading corner where you go to think. Olive walls, brass lamps and dark wood complement its moody palette, and the soft glow of evening lamplight brings its golden moon gently to life.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
