Mixed media and resin
14" x 11"
A bold numeral seven sweeps across a field of warm golden yellow, its strokes built from thick, clear resin studded with sparkling black and silver granules, like a scattering of stars set into honey. Beside it, a smaller oval of the same glittering texture rests on its own, like a seal or a promise. The background glows softly, mottled with light and shadow as if sunlight were moving across it. Mandie poured the resin and sprinkled the granules by hand, letting them gather thicker in some places and drift apart in others. Simple and luminous, the piece carries a feeling of abundance, gratitude and a life richly graced.
Personal and full of meaning, this piece makes a thoughtful gift and a lovely focal point on a desk, a dresser, or a small entry wall. Black and gold accents, a stack of art books, and warm light pick up its sparkling texture.

Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
