Bouquet of Noise
Mixed media on panel
30" x 30"
Imagine flowers that could shout. Glossy bursts of scarlet, coral, lemon and lime explode outward from a dark, upright column, splashing and spattering as if they had been flung into bloom all at once. A deep navy shape spills down the right side and lets a single drip run toward the floor. Behind the clamor, the ground stays soft and hazy, layers of sprayed yellow, sky blue and teal melting into gentle frames of color. Mandie threw and poured the brightest notes with full freedom, then let them land wherever they chose. The result is loud, lovable and wildly alive, a celebration that refuses to whisper.
Loud in the best way, this painting gives a dining room, a living room, or a creative studio instant personality. Charcoal or deep green walls make its glossy bursts pop, while a big vase of fresh flowers nearby answers its playful energy.

Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
