Gathering Joy
Mixed media on panel
12" x 9"
Bright circles cluster in the upper half like friends arriving at a party: a coral red one overlapping orange, a sunny yellow, a cool teal and a deep plum disk with a spiral at its center. Below them, a thick slab of lime paint stretches across the panel, raised and glossy, resting on a bed of dark navy strokes dragged sideways in quick, energetic marks. A soft yellow moon glows in the lower corner, and a fine white spray falls everywhere like snow or stardust. Mandie stacked color on color without a plan, letting each new form find its place. It feels warm and abundant, a small celebration of togetherness.
Small enough for any shelf, Gathering Joy brings a cheerful little crowd to a desk, a kitchen ledge, or a gallery wall. Mix it with colorful ceramics or family photographs, and its bright circles feel right at home among the people you love.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
