Golden Road
Mixed media and resin on panel
10" x 10"
A shining diagonal cuts across this small square like a road of light, framed by fine golden rails and filled with amber resin swirled with flakes of gold leaf. Above it, a creamy field of pale gold holds a single crumbled orb of metallic texture, rising like a sun over a quiet horizon. Below, the darkness is dappled and stony, a mottled brown and black that feels ancient and grounded. Mandie layered the materials and sealed them under resin, so the gold glows as if lit from within. It is a small piece with a hopeful heart, a reminder that the way forward is often brighter than it seems.
Think of it as a jewel for a shelf, a desk or a dressing table. Gilded frames, amber glass and warm lighting draw out its gleaming resin, and a few small works grouped nearby can create an elegant little vignette.

Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
