Mixed media on panel
24" x 24"
Two bold strokes of pale butter yellow cross at the center of the panel, a clear and unmistakable mark, as if to say this exact spot, this exact moment. Around them, soft rings of white mist float over deep teal and denim blue, glowing like halos or ripples spreading across still water. The cross itself is thick and glossy, flung on with splatters and thin trailing threads that escaped the main gesture. Mandie sprayed the rings first and then poured the cream in two quick passes, trusting her hand and letting the drips land wherever they chose. The painting feels grounded and calm, a gentle insistence on being fully present.
Where do you most need a reminder to slow down? A bedroom, a reading nook or a quiet corner for morning coffee would all suit this calm, grounding canvas. Butter yellow pairs beautifully with sage or soft gray walls, honey toned wood and simple ceramics.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
