Tears Let Go
Mixed media on panel
24" x 12"
Soft color spills from top to bottom, a veil of lavender and pearl white carrying a river of chartreuse and gold down through its center. The marbled cells curl and loosen as they fall, like something long held finally given permission to move. Behind it, columns of deep green and slate stand in a field of sky blue, with drips running from the upper edge and a narrow seam of red tucked low on the left. Fine lines etched through the pale layers catch the light like traces left on a cheek. Mandie tilted the panel and let the paint travel its own path, and what emerged feels like release, the lightness that only comes once the weeping is done.
Imagine it in a bedroom or a quiet reading corner, where its soft fall of lavender and gold can be the last thing you see at night. It sits beautifully with dove gray walls, pale oak, a cashmere throw and a small ceramic lamp casting warm, low light.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
