Wild Garden
Mixed media on panel
24" x 24"
Nothing in this garden was planted in a row. A cloud-like blossom of slate blue opens at the top, its surface rippled and glossy, carried on a winding stem of deep green that trails across the panel. Beside it, a smaller cluster of jade and coral flecks bursts like a shrub in flower. The ground behind is a soft patchwork of peach, lavender, plum, butter yellow and navy, sprayed into gentle blocks of color. Along the bottom, lime green drips and spatters gather like new grass. Mandie flung, dripped and sprayed with complete freedom, and the blooms grew where they fell. It feels untamed, joyful and full of life.
Garden lovers will enjoy it in a sunroom, a kitchen near the back door, or a bedroom that opens onto green. Slate blue linen, terracotta pots, and a vase of loose garden flowers bring its untamed spirit indoors through every season.

The Collections
Pigment breaks loose across the surface, feathered forms climbing through bands of color, caught in the instant before they open all the way.
Paint falls in continuous vertical streams, layer over layer, color caught mid-descent before it ever reaches the ground.
At the edge of the visible world, resin, pigment powders, and luminous forms suggest planetary landscapes no one has named yet.
Immediate, unguarded and alive. Color erupts, gestures cut across fields of pattern, painting as a way of releasing what words cannot hold.
Burlap, plaster, and mixed media hold the memory of surfaces worn by time, artifacts of a history that was never written down.
Pigment flows in channels across white ground, color finding its own path the way water finds a bed to run through.
Pigment pools and cracks across the surface, veined like a lakebed or a membrane, ground still settling into its shape.
